1. Where do I register to vote?
Residents can register at the County Clerk's Office in the Court House, Monday - Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. For more information call (870) 235-3774.

2. Where is the City Hall and what are the office hours?
The City Hall is located on East North Street on the corner of Jackson Street. The City Hall is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Closed for lunch from 12:00 until 1:00.

3. Who do I contact to arrange public utility services?

4. Who do I call to obtain needed permits and information on how to reserve city facilities?
Contact the Treasurer's office at (870) 234-7303 to obtain a Business License or a carport sale permit.

Also contact the Treasurer's office to reserve the following city owned facilities for your personal use:
Swimming Pool
Community Center
Ball fields

5. How do I report a street light that is not working?
Please note the street light number on the pole and call City Hall at (870) 234-1375.

6. When does one need a building permit and where do go I go to obtain one?
Permits are required for the following types of construction: additions, plumbing alterations, new buildings, signs, lawn sprinkler systems, electrical alterations, fireplaces, relocation of structures, carports, storage buildings, site development and swimming pools. Call the City Inspector's office at (870) 234-6767 for more information. The office is located at 201 E. North Street.

7. Where do I pay a speeding ticket?
Speeding tickets are paid at the Magnolia Police Department at 206 N. Jackson if the issuing officer was a City Policeman. If a State Trooper or County Deputy issued the ticket it should be paid at the Columbia County Detention Center on Rawhide Road.

8. Who are the major employers in town?
