Glenn O. Maxwell was appointed Chief of the Magnolia Police Department on December 31, 2011. Prior to his appointment, Maxwell worked 23 years in the Highway Patrol Division for the Arkansas State Police. He began his career in Law Enforcement in 1984 as a patrol officer for the City of Camden, Arkansas Police Department. Maxwell spent five years in the United States Marine Corps. His education and training includes the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Carteret Technical College of North Carolina, Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy, Arkansas State Police Troop School and Andersonville Theological Seminary.

Glenn Proctor has 32 years of law enforcement experience with the Magnlia Police Department.  He began his career with the El Dorado Police Department in 1981.  In 1983, he began work with the Magnolia Police Department as a patrol officer.  In 1998 he was promoted to patrol sergeant and in 2012 Proctor was named Assistant Chief of Police.  Proctor continues his education by attending the latest training courses in law enforcement.  He has received training with ALETA and University of Arkansas Criminal Justice Institute.  He is a certified Police Firearms and Professional Instructor.  Proctor has received training in Advance Drug and Raid Tactics, Basic Police Sniper, United States Army Military Police School-Counterdrug Marksman/Observer.
