Police Department Press Release

On November 7, 2018, at approximately 8:53pm Officers of the Magnolia Police Department were dispatched to the Dixie Mart on West Main Street referencing an individual being robbed at gunpoint. Upon arrival Officers learned the suspects had robbed the victim at gun point, stealing the victim’s vehicle and leaving the scene. The vehicle was pursued into Lafayette County Arkansas where the suspects later ran the victim’s vehicle into the ditch and fled the scene. A search of the area was conducted; suspects where not found until the next day.

On November 8, 2018, a warrant was issued for Javorius Grissom 19 of Waldo Arkansas and Jadan West 18 of Magnolia Arkansas for Aggravated Robbery, Breaking or Entering, Theft of Property over $5000, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Theft by Receiving Firearm, and Fleeing by Foot. On the same day, dispatch advised officers of the Magnolia Police Department of a possible sighting of both suspects in the area of Buckner, Arkansas.   A search for the suspects in the area resulted in both Grissom and West being taken into custody and transported to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office. Both

Grissom and West are currently being held on a $250,000.00 bond and are awaiting first appearance.

The Magnolia Police Department, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office,Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, Stamps Police Department, Arkansas StatePolice and the Arkansas Game and Fish helped in the search for the twosuspects.
